Last weekend, Ruhr Nachrichten reported Manchester United are the only club genuinely keen on signing Jadon Sancho.
The local outlet also stressed Borussia Dortmund have informed the Red Devils that the winger’s sale will only take place for a fixed fee of €120m.
These claims have again been relayed by Bild and they also provide an update on whether or not the England international wants to move to Old Trafford.
It’s claimed the 20-year-old is ‘not 100 percent convinced’ joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is the ‘right step’ for him.
The attacker ‘wants to wait and see’ whether or not the English side will qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Manchester United are fifth in the table with 55 points, trailing fourth placed Chelsea by two points, and are three points behind Leicester City. Solskjaer’s men can also make it to the Europe’s elite club competition if they go on to win the Europa League.
Bild add Dortmund would be in a ‘comfortable position financially’, if United end up taking Sancho this summer. If not, Lucien Favre’s side will be able to retain one of their ‘greatest assets’, to ‘annoy’ Bayern Munich.
Four days ago, Ruhr interviewed Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc and he hinted more developments on Sancho’s situation could be expected in the coming weeks.
“It would be naive to say that we are completely independent of how the situation will turn out. If there were a transfer, it would also have a certain economic dimension,” Zorc said.
“But we can very well imagine going into next season with Jadon, because he simply delivers sporting wise. We’ll see everything else in the next few weeks.”
