Wolfsburg youngster Aster Vranckx is dreaming of a move to Chelsea or Real Madrid in future, if he can continue his mature performances on the pitch.
Vranckx is one of the highly-rated youngsters in Belgian football, having been earmarked as a star of the future early on.
After starring in his homeland, he moved to the Bundesliga last summer to join Wolfsburg and continue his development.
He’s not had an easy time of things since the move, failing to shine quite as brightly as he had during his time at former club KV Mechelen.
That’s not to say he hasn’t been performing well, though, with him a regular for Wolfsburg despite being just 19-years-old and earning praise from coach Florian Kohfeldt too, who told SportBILD he is “unexcited, courageous, allows himself to be played to in pressure situations. He plays like a 25-year-old.”
Those comments come as part of coverage of the youngster today, where it is again stated he ‘dreams’ of playing for Chelsea or Real Madrid.
This time around, though, we have a figure involved, with the German newspaper explaining that Vranckx’s transfer fee could reach ‘double digits’ if Wolfsburg are able to get themselves back in the ‘international arena’ and he’s a regular.
Mechelen will also end up pocketing something as they’re due 20% of any transfer fee if, or more likely when, Vranckx moves on.
That is likely to happen at some point, with it stated that scouts from all the top clubs in Europe are already watching him, and have been doing so for a long time.
Whether Chelsea are one of them remains to be seen but we keep seeing stories about his dream of playing for them, so someone somewhere wants that information out there and established.
