Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sánchez could make a switch to Galatasaray, according to reports from Turkey.

Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu states the defender has agreed a three-year deal with an option for another year with the Istanbul club.

Sabuncuoğlu claims the Tottenham player had offers from Spartak Moscow and Rennes but snubbed them in favour of joining the Turkish champions.

He further adds the 27-year-old will travel to Istanbul once Galatasaray find an agreement with Spurs, which hasn’t been done so far.

Akşam also state the centre-back and Galatasaray have an agreement for a three-year deal with an option for another year.

The summer window in Turkey closes later this month but Galatasaray are in a hurry to get this deal over the line in the next few hours, in order to include him in the Champions League squad. The deadline, as per UEFA, is until 11pm BST on September 4th.

Therefore, Galatasaray have ‘stepped on the gas’ to agree a deal with Tottenham for the Colombia international, and Akşam state the negotiations between the two teams have ‘reached the final stage’.

Sánchez’s contract at the north London club lasts until 2024, and neither Sabuncuoğlu nor Akşam mention the fee Spurs can collect from this operation.

The South American has made one league appearance this season, when he came off the bench to replace the injured Cristian Romero against Brentford.
