On August 11th, Jorginho’s agent had insisted the midfielder “will stay at Arsenal” amid claims of Fenerbahçe interest.

That hasn’t stopped the 31-year-old from being linked to the Yellow Canaries, who are still searching for a new No.6.

According to Ajansspor, Fenerbahçe’s transfer committee have started an operation to try to bring in a new midfielder in the next 24 hours. The Arsenal player is included in their target list but the ‘conditions will be tough’ to carry his signing.

Journalist Arda Birben provided the information for Ajansspor and he took to Twitter to add that the Gunners are ‘cautious’, mainly because Thomas Partey has suffered an injury and it’s not clear how long he’ll be on the sidelines.

Birben claims Mikel Arteta’s side have made an ‘absurd request’ for the Brazil-born Italy international. The journalist doesn’t specify what those demands are and also states Jorginho is one of the names on Fenerbahçe’s list.

Over at Takvim, they state the Turkish club are preparing an offer to sign the ex-Chelsea man and their proposal is ‘expected to reach around €20m’.

Jorginho’s contract lasts until 2024, with an option for another year, and he’s clocked in 17 minutes from three substitute appearances this season.
