Leeds United fullback Rasmus Kristensen is now ‘getting closer and closer’ to a move to AS Roma, the Italian media says.

TuttoMercatoWeb today writes that Giallorossi manager wants to have the player as early as next Monday, and the club are working to get that done.

The story claims the negotiation between Leeds and Roma is now ‘in the pipeline’ and could be done soon.

Kristensen is expected to join the Serie A side on a loan deal, with the club having the right to buy him for €10m.

Roma’s idea is to have the deal closed by the weekend, and according to TuttoMercatoWeb, there will soon be new contacts between the parties in an attempt to find the ‘white smoke’.

It’s just been an year since Leeds signed Kristensen, with the Whites spending €13m to land him from RB Salzburg.

Now with their relegation resulting in the loan of several players, he’s just one who will potentially leave Elland Road for less than he arrived.

The fullback had made 30 appearances in his season with the Whites, and may never play for the club again.
