According to reports in the Turkish media, Sheffield United goalkeeper Ivo Grbic is on the verge of signing for Çaykur Rizespor.

The Turkish club have been looking to bolster their squad ahead of the Super Lig transfer deadline on Friday and it looks like their latest signing will be the Croatian keeper.

Sporx have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of the Sheffield United player, and they say the 28-year-old will today be flying out to Turkey.

It’s claimed Grbic has reached an agreement with the Super Lig side and will undergo a medical this evening ahead of his proposed transfer.

There are no reports on the transfer fee which will be paid to the Blades, or the length of contract being offered to the keeper.

Grbic only signed for the Championship side during the last January transfer window for an undisclosed fee. He went on to make nine Premier League appearances but has yet to feature in the Championship this season.
