Goncalo Guedes is suffering through a ‘crisis’ at Wolverhampton Wanderers since his move from Valencia in the summer.

That’s according to Las Provincias, who cover the Portuguese forward today and his struggles since arriving at Molineux.

They explain that Guedes’ ‘adventure’ at Wolves has not been what he had hoped for when he made the move, with a number of issues early on.

On a collective level, Wolves are currently 19th in the table while on an individual level he is ‘not going through a good moment’ either.

Guedes is yet to score a goal for his new club and that’s resulted in him losing his place in the starting 11 in the last few games.

He was the star signing alongside Matheus Nunes, signed for €35m in an attempt to reinforce their forward line but as the weeks have gone by his situation is ‘getting worse and worse’.

He started the games against Tottenham, Newcastle and Bournemouth but since then his minutes have been reduced to the point that in the last four games he has managed just 39 minutes.

That’s coincided with Bruno Lage’s departure from the club, with the players’ situation not improving under Steve Davis.

He’s only managed a 45 minute appearance in the defeat to Chelsea, 32 minutes against Crystal Palace and seven against Brentford. That’s not great for a player whose father insisted he should be in a Champions League team ahead of the move.

At the moment he is in a low, with his poor start to life at Wolves also meaning it ‘seems very complicated’ for him to make the World Cup with Portugal.
