Nottingham Forest have found an agreement with striker Andre Ayew to join them until the end of the season.

That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who says Ayew is ‘undergoing a medical’ at this moment in time ahead of joining the Tricky Trees.

Ayew has been linked with a move to England after mutually terminating his deal with Qatari side Al-Sadd at the end of the January transfer window.

He had initially been linked with Everton, who are also desperately searching for a striker, but it is Nottingham Forest who have raced to the front of the queue for his signature.

Reports in England have made it clear that they are the favourites to sign Ayew on a free, with Ayew a player who manager Steve Cooper knows well after they worked together at Swansea City.

Aouna says a deal is now close to being signed as there is an ‘agreement’ between the player and Nottingham Forest for a six month deal.

Ayew is currently undergoing a medical at the club, which is ‘almost complete’, with him set to arrive as a replacement for Taiwo Awoniyi, who is set to be out injured for several months.
