Manchester United’s search for a new left-back has got serious quite quickly, with a need to rush due to both Erik ten Hag’s squad desires and the window closing soon.
Earlier today, Catalan newspaper Sport had already reported that the Red Devils placed a formal offer for the loan move of Marcos Alonso from Barcelona.
It now seems Manchester United are actually working on several fronts, because according to Marca, the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea is a real possibility.
Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be discussing the terms of the deal, as Cucurella would join Erik ten Hag’s side on a loan move.
Marca add that in case this transfer is successful, then the Red Devils are set to loan out Alvaro Fernandez.
The outlet writes that with no place in the squad, the fullback will go out on a loan, and ‘everything indicates’ he’d sign for either Getafe, Granada or Las Palmas, which are the clubs in his home country that are interested in signing him this summer.
