On Tuesday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported it’s ‘practically inevitable’ that Inter Milan star André Onana will join Manchester United in the next few days.

The Serie A side are waiting for the Red Devils to make an improved offer to sanction the goalkeeper’s sale.

Sources close to the Nerazzurri have told Corriere dello Sport the deal now ‘depends on’ Manchester United.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, an ‘acceleration’ from the Premier League side is expected in the ‘next few hours’ after they reached an agreement with the 27-year-old for a deal worth €7m per year.

Wednesday’s Corriere della Sera states Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and their sporting director, Piero Ausilio, hope to close the Cameroonian’s transfer to Manchester United in the ‘next few hours’.

The former Ajax man is scheduled to return for pre-season training tomorrow, something that both Marotta and Ausilio want to avoid.

There’s confidence the transfer will take shape as it’s said ‘there are no doubts about the outcome’ of this operation. That’s why Onana is ‘already looking for a house’ in England.

It’s claimed Inter are ‘preparing to sign’ the documents when Manchester United table an offer of €55m [likely including bonuses].

Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport say Onana should arrive at the Italian club’s training ground tomorrow, which would be his ‘last day’ at Inter. They further add he should be a Manchester United player between tomorrow and Friday.
