Alex Telles’ contract expires with FC Porto in June 2021, and with no sign of a new one being signed, FC Porto will be under some pressure to sell the Brazilian in the next window.

Chelsea have long been linked with the player, with it seeming there’s been something behind the rumours in recent years. However, since Frank Lampard took charge at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have been more heavily linked with Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.

For Telles, the most likely club recently has been PSG, with his agent Pini Zahavi trying to get a move to the French club arranged.  Now, Le10 Sport say PSG will face competition from Manchester City for the left-back.

Pep Guardiola is leading the interest from the Premier League club, and is ready to ‘fight’ for Telles.

Manchester City currently have Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko are recognised left-backs, and should one of those be set to leave then it would make sense to be interested in Telles.

The 27 year old has been consistently good for Porto, and his contract situation favours potential buyers.
