Tottenham Hotspur were keen on signing Milan Škriniar last summer, but a deal couldn’t have been finalised after the north London club failed to convince Inter Milan to sanction the defender’s sale.

Spurs came close to signing the centre-back and reports from October 2020 stated they were late in submitting an offer for the 26-year-old.

Following that, the Slovakia international regained his spot and established himself under Antonio Conte in their title winning campaign, making 31 league starts.

Tottenham appointed Fabio Paratici as their new managing director of football and the former Juventus chief retains an interest in bringing the Inter player to the English capital, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

It’s claimed the Nerazzurri will ask for €60m to cut ties with the former Sampdoria man this summer.

Inter are very clear with their demands and they don’t want the Premier League side to include any players to lower Škriniar’s price tag.

A year after they came close to signing him, Tottenham continue to get linked with Škriniar and whether or not they will meet the demands set by Inter remains to be seen.
