Faced with the possibility of losing Harry Kane to Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing themselves for various scenarios this summer.

Dušan Vlahović is one of the targets identified by the north London club and their chief, Fabio Paratici, wanted to sign the Fiorentina star from his time at Juventus.

On Monday, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Spurs have a ‘meeting’ with the striker’s agent, to ‘test the waters to understand the feasibility’ of the deal.

The Premier League side wanting to sign the 21-year-old is covered by Calciomercato.it  and according to the website, Paratici is ‘serious’ about the Serbia international.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will have the ‘resources’ to land the frontman, especially with the sale of Kane to City. They can meet the Serie A side’s demand, which is believed to be about €60m.

It’s said the English club could offer €40-50m and also add one of their players [like Davinson Sánchez].

Fiorentina chairman Rocco B. Commisso doesn’t intend to sell his star, unless a ‘truly irrefutable proposal’ is on the table. For months, La Viola have been working on extending Vlahović’s contract until 2025, which will also include a salary of €3m per season.

The only ‘stumbling block’ is the release clause as Fiorentina want a ‘significant figure’, while the player’s entourage don’t want to have a higher price, in order to not fend off big clubs.

Calciomercato.it state Tottenham could ‘break’ the knot, suggesting Spurs can upset the Italian club’s efforts to tie down Vlahović to a new deal. That, however, would only be possible if they table an ‘irrefutable proposal’.
