Arguments continue about how the Premier League will end, with the idea of playing out the remaining matches behind closed doors being the latest plan.

There’s been other calls to cancel the whole thing and decide on positioning afterwards, and even suggestions the whole thing should be made void.

Voiding the season would see no champions and be a cruel blow to Liverpool who have more than one hand on the trophy already. Most people would agree that the Reds deserve to be champions, regardless of whether any more games are played or not.

Understandably, there’s a worry from some fans about that scenario, even if it seems very unlikely at this stage. Liverpool look set to win the league even if not one more minute of action is seen.

Divock Origi has been speaking to HLN about the situation, and told the Belgian newspaper: “It would be painful not to become a champion after all this.”

Jurgen Klopp’s squad are still training from home, and Origi seems to feel that’s the right scenario as it stands, saying: “It’s important that everyone is safe. Fortunately, we have many sessions together via Zoom.”

Some of those Zoom sessions have been published by Liverpool, bringing entertainment to fans who long to see their players lift that trophy.
