Over the weekend, two aspects added to the Harry Kane saga.

Firstly, Bayern Munich consultant Uli Hoeneß went public with claims the Tottenham player wants to join the Bundesliga club, being very bullish about a transfer happening.

The second added drama was reported interest from PSG. The French club could lose Kylian Mbappe this summer, with Real Madrid still seen as the likeliest destination, and in that case they’d need a replacement.

Kane has been identified and Foot Mercato are now quite strong with their claims. According to their latest report, PSG are ready to send an ‘offer that Tottenham cannot refuse’.

That’s as long as the player agrees to join them.

There’s no financials given on that offer, but it would surely have to be much higher than the €80m proposed by Bayern Munich.

There’s every chance, especially given the timing of the claims, that this is an effort to pressure the German champions to put their money where Uli Hoeneß’ mouth is and submit a larger bid.

Given the transfer games Bayern have been playing, Tottenham could be forgiven for playing their own.
