French side Dijon have rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest for centre back Jonathan Panzo on deadline day.

That’s according to journalist Loic Tanzi, who says that ‘negotiations will continue’ between the clubs over a possible deal.

Nottingham Forest have been busy under manager Steve Cooper this month, with defenders Richie Laryea and Steve Cook arriving from Toronto and Bournemouth, respectively.

Keinan Davis has also been signed on loan from Aston Villa, but it seems their business is not done there.

Tanzi reports that Forest want another addition for their backline and have made a bid for centre-back Panzo.

He doesn’t share the nature of this bid but says it was ‘rejected’ by the French club, who seemingly weren’t keen on what was proposed.

Nottingham Forest still have a chance of getting the centre-back, though, with negotiations set to continue between the two clubs before the transfer window closes this evening.

There’s no suggestion whether Dijon are willing to let Panzo go but Forest are seemingly going to continue their efforts to make a deal happen regardless.
