Joao Teixeira is set to become a Nottingham Forest player, report Portuguese newspaper O Jogo on Friday. After English claims that Teixeira is set to move from Wolves to Forest, it’s been taken further in Portugal.
Teixeira is owned by Benfica but didn’t play for them this season before being loaned to Wolves, meaning he’s fine to move to Nottingham Forest. FIFA only allows a footballer to play for 2 clubs during a season.
Vitoria Setubal had wanted to sign the 22 year old midfielder, cutting short his time with Wolves, but O Jogo believe he’s set to stay in the Championship and sign for Nottingham Forest.
Forest already have Hildeberto Pereira on loan from Benfica, which should help Teixeira settle in.
