Newcastle United defender Emil Krafth has heaped praise on teammate Alexander Isak, insisting the striker has ‘everything’.
The full-back has been speaking to Aftonbladet about life at Newcastle so far and the opportunity to work with fellow Swede Isak.
The striker has established himself as one of the best in the Premier League this season with a series of impressive performances, bagging 21 goals and one assists in 35 games.
17 of those have come in 25 games in the Premier League, despite injuries having limited him to feature in just 63% of the available minutes.
He’s now very much justifying the €70m Newcastle paid to sign him from Real Sociedad in 2022 and has subsequently been linked with a move away, with several big sides in Europe believed to be considering the 24-year-old as they look for the star man to lead their forward lines.
Newcastle have no intention of selling and have made that clear more than once, despite claims they will be forced to sell because of PSR and FFP issues.
For now, he’s very much staying at St James Park and Krafth is happy with that, sharing his admiration of his compatriot.
“(He’s) absolutely fantastic, both as a player and a person,” he said.
“It feels like he has the most as a player. The speed, the technique, he has finish ability. Everything. He is very important to us. Sure, he has been injured for a few games, but he has still managed to score 17 goals in the Premier League.
“In Bologna I had Filip Helander, in France I had Saman Ghoddos. Here I have Isak. It is very nice to have a person with whom you can speak Swedish. Having someone to play ball with, in private.”
