Nottingham Forest are interested in Cadiz FC winger Ivan Alejo, according to the latest reports from Spain.

Marca writes that with Nuno Espírito Santo arriving at the City Ground to replace Steve Cooper, the Portuguese manager asked for some January reinforcements for the squad.

Alejo is reportedly one of the names on Nottingham Forest’s list, with the Reds planning to sign him to strengthen their wings.

It’s highlighted by Marca that the player’s contract with Cadiz expires in the summer of 2025, so the club already think of selling him to avoid the risk of losing him for free.

The story highlights that the winger is having a ‘good season’ in La Liga, although his stats are not very impressive, with two assists and no goals in 17 appearances so far.

What may make him an attractive target for Nottingham Forest is his price, since he’s currently only valued by Transfermarkt at €1.5m. It’s said that with Cadiz afraid of losing him for free, they shouldn’t demand a lot for his sale.

Even though the signing sounds like a request from Nuno Espírito Santo, we must recall that Alejo was linked to the Tricky Trees over a year ago, when it was claimed the Reds made contact for a potential €5m deal.
