AC Milan face Lazio on Sunday, and in the week leading to the Rossoneri home match, there’s been repeat suggestions Franck Kessie will be targeted for abuse.

The midfielder has a contract expiring in less than a year, and discussions over a renewal have hit several bumps in the road. A free transfer is appearing on the horizon, with clubs such as PSG, Chelsea and Tottenham being linked with the player in recent days.

Milan Live covers the situation today, and they state Milan ultras have decided there’ll be ‘no whistles’ for Kessie today. The report names the trio of PSG, Chelsea and Tottenham, and the longer the situation goes on the more clubs will move into the picture for a possible bargain deal.

There’s no guarantee that other groups of supporters won’t abuse Kessie, but the plan from the ultras is to refrain from doing so. They don’t see any point in breaking the relationship further, perhaps in the hope that if the player is shown some love he’ll be likelier to sign a renewal.
