Even though FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, some of the Portuguese media was never fully on board with the rumours.

Now as newspaper Record features a long story about the striker’s future, they explain that he’s actually fully ‘available to stay’ with the Dragons in the long term.

The outlet writes that despite recent reports, Taremi has no agreement with Tottenham or any other club.

It’s said no formal offers for his transfer have reached Porto so far, with Spurs aware that the request for his summer move is €30m.

What gives Porto strength in the situation is that Taremi is showing ‘no pressure to leave’, as he’s been displaying a big commitment to the club.

It’s also recalled that Tottenham’s interest is related to Harry Kane’s potential departure to Bayern Munich, so there’s no guarantee they’re going for the Iranian player.

That’s why Porto haven’t been showing big concern, and will only actually discuss their star’s potential departure in case someone shows up with the €30m offer.
