On Monday, several claims from the English press stated Burnley are in advanced talks with Sheffield United over a deal for Sander Berge.

For the past few days, the Championship winners have been in talks with Sheffield United over a deal for the Norway international. The website even states the player’s agent, Morten Wivestad, was in England for the past week to get the deal over the line.

Berge’s contract expires in 2024 and Sheffield United are ready to part ways with him. In fact, TV2 say they informed his teammates about his potential move to Burnley on Monday.

Vincent Kompany’s side have made progress by agreeing a deal with Sheffield United. The report adds only ‘some details’ of the transfer need to be sorted out before Berge’s move to Burnley is made official.
