Sporx have reported on the latest developments over the future of Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues, following claims last week Newcastle United tried to sign the player last month.

The Turkish media have reported there are several English clubs tracking the Cape Verde international, and it seems Newcastle United now have competition from other Premier League sides.

It’s been revealed in recent days the Magpies will again try to sign Rodrigues in the summer.

Rodrigues has impressed for the Turkish giants this season, which promoted Newcastle United to come in with a second bid for the player in the last transfer window.

Again Sporx report Newcastle United were interested in signing 27 year old last summer, but in the next transfer window it looks like they’ll have a fight on their hands to land the attacker.

There have been suggestions in the Turkish media any club interested in signing Rodrigues will have to offer in the region of €15m, a similar fee they sold Badou Ndiaye to Stoke City for a few weeks ago.
