Moussa Marega may finally get his chance to move to the Premier League, probably long after he should have been given the opportunity.

At FC Porto since 2016, the striker has repeatedly been linked with English clubs, with several approaches reported over the past couple of years. Porto have always stood firm, not wanting to sell their player for less than what they felt he was worth.

Now, things are a little different, with Marega’s contract expiring in June 2021, and him refusing to sign a renewal.

That’s because he wants his Premier League dream to finally happen, and A Bola report Newcastle United may be the destination. They say claims of the Magpies being interested are true, and they could be ready to offer more than €15m.

Newcastle are preparing their offer, with Porto wanting a minimum of €20m. That stance may have to wobble as the window grows older and the chance of losing Marega for nothing becomes ever more real.

The 29 year old scored 15 goals and provided nine assists last season.
