Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today features an interesting story on the future of Newcastle United target Matias Soule.
Explaining the winger is having an ‘extraordinary season’ with Frosinone, the outlet claims he’ll choose where to go at the end of the season.
Soule is currently there on loan from Juventus, and has ten goals and three assists in 33 appearances this season so far.
It’s said many clubs are interested in him, ‘particularly in England’, and as he’s set to cost around €40m, it’s really the Premier League clubs who could afford that transfer.
“I have no offers yet. I don’t know what I will do yet, it’s too early. I had offers from Saudi Arabia in January, but now I have nothing concrete. If you give me the chance to choose the league, I choose England, it’s one of the best in the world. It would be a dream to be there. I would also like to have a chance at Juventus.”
Newcastle have been linked to Soule for a while now, with the latest claims being made in March, when CalcioMercato reported the Magpies are in the race for his signing.
At the time, it was said the Premier League club are well aware of the price demanded by Juventus, and it’s up to them to pay that price.
With Soule continuing to have an impressive season at Frosione, perhaps Newcastle will end the season convinced to make that bid.
