Newcastle United and Arsenal are among the clubs chasing Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura, according to La Gazette du Fennec.
The striker has starred in his debut season for the Jupiler Pro League side, scoring 21 goals and registering five assists from 37 games.
His impressive performances have caught the attention of several clubs, and Newcastle and Arsenal are included in this list.
On Tuesday, both Le Soir and DZ Foot explained that West Ham United have made an offer worth €15m for the Algeria international. It was also stated this was €5m short of the Belgian club’s demand.
This is echoed by La Gazette du Fennec, who then state several other clubs in England are also following the 23-year-old closely. This is when Newcastle and Arsenal are tagged.
Amoura spent two years with Algerian side ES Sétif’s academy before he was promoted to their first team in 2020 by Nabil Kouki. He managed 18 goals and eight assists from 45 games under the latter’s orders.
Kouki claims Amoura has informed him that the Premier League will be his next destination.
“According to what Amoura told me, he will join the Premier League in the near future,” he said, as quoted by La Gazette du Fennec.
This should please Newcastle and Arsenal, but they seem to be behind the Hammers, who have made an offer for Amoura.
