Gareth Bale has been given 116 minutes of Premier League action by Jose Mourinho so far this season, featuring much more for Tottenham in the Europa League.
The Spurs manager is a huge fan of the Welshman, and is likely waiting for Bale to reach the peak of his fitness before letting him loose further. Bale didn’t get a minute during the 2-0 derby victory over Arsenal, and that helped cause a little drama in Italy.
On Saturday, in a match against Bologna, Christian Eriksen was brought on by Antonio Conte in the 90th minute, something which is being seen as a huge humiliation for the former Spurs man. Inter Milan were winning the game 3-1, so it wasn’t even a case of Conte wanting to waste time to secure the victory.
The Tottenham boss wouldn’t show such a ‘lack of respect’ to his player, with the journalist clearly trying to take snipes at Conte for the way he’s been handling Eriksen recently.
