Mino Raiola’s comments about Paul Pogba wanting to leave Manchester United, and everyone at the club knowing about it, have of course made it to the Spanish media.

The agent didn’t say anything which wasn’t already known, and that he’s had to go public clearly shows things aren’t going his way behind the scenes.

If there had been any indication from Old Trafford that they’d help Raiola get what he and his client wants then it’s pretty certain he wouldn’t have spoken to the media.

AS have a big splash on it, and they’ve interpreted the comments in a particular way. Manchester United have made it clear they expect Pogba to travel for their preseason tour to Australia.

The flight leaves on Sunday, and when quizzed on that, Raiola was vague.

AS believe that was a ‘veiled threat’ to the Premier League club, and they say Pogba’s representative is ready to apply  the ‘most extreme pressure’ and have his client miss the trip.

Should the Frenchman not be on that flight tomorrow then everything is escalated to a new level.

It is, however, worth pointing out that in recent years Florentino Perez has changed his approach and doesn’t want to go to war with clubs to get players, so if he does refuse to fly it may be counter-productive for Paul Pogba.
