For those Crystal Palace fans who might not remember, Gedson Fernandes has already played for a Premier League club, back in 2020 when he was loaned by Tottenham.

Why are we mentioning the Eagles? Because they are now being linked with the midfielder, who is currently at Besiktas.

Bought by the Turkish side in the summer for €6m, the 24-year-old has rediscovered his form at his new club, which has caught the eye of Crystal Palace.

That’s according to Takvim, relayed by Sabah, who explain the Portugal international ‘draws the attention’ with his performances at Besiktas, and is now being ‘seriously followed’ by Patrick Vieira’s side for next season.

In fact, scouts from Selhurst Park are said to have travelled to watch the player, and those in charge ‘would contact’ those in charge at Besiktas.

Regarding a potential transfer to Crystal Palace, it’s said the Turkish side’s expectation to allow him to leave is €10m, which would allow them to make €4m over the space of a year.

Now, we have to wait and see if the Eagles make a move in the coming weeks.
