Fenerbahçe continue to push for a deal for Tottenham forward Lucas Moura, despite Antonio Conte blocking an exit at the end of the Turkish transfer window.

That’s according to Sporx, who back up claims that talks have begun with Moura’s agent over a possible move in the summer.

They report that the Brazilian ‘gave the green light’ to a transfer to Turkey but the move ‘fell through’ because Tottenham manager Conte wanted the player to stay until the end of the season, despite not using him much this season.

That has not ended Fenerbahçe’s interest in him, though, knowing that the forward will be available on a free come the end of the season.

Their management has ‘already started negotiations’ with Moura’s agent about a possible deal, although they know his availability has ‘whetted the appetite’ of other clubs.

There is interest from Spain, France and Italy in the Brazilian forward but Fenerbahçe will ‘mobilise all their resources’ to try and get the 30-year-old to sign for them.

Whether they are successful remains to be seen but they have no intention of giving up on the Tottenham man after being rebuffed in the January window.
