Following the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the appointment of Michael Beale as a replacement at Rangers, transfer plans will have changed at Ibrox.

One of those could be the arrival of Nicolas Raskin, currently contracted to Standard Liège in Belgium, who has been previously linked with a move to the Premier League but could now head to Rangers.

While that was still mentioned throughout the January transfer window, Ibrox Stadium could be his next destination, with Rangers reportedly interested.

That comes from Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who took to Twitter to announce the news, claiming that things are ‘moving’ around the midfielder.

This is because there is a ‘concrete interest’ from Rangers in the player, and ‘advanced discussions’ are already taking place for a potential move.

Whether that is for the summer or on a permanent transfer in January has yet to be disclosed, but the journalist has made it clear there will be more information and details coming out ‘in the next few days’.

The 21-year-old has five caps for Belgium U21s to date, and his contract with Standard Liège expires in the summer, meaning that if Rangers do have to pay a fee for him to get him in this month, it won’t be that high.
