After running for the best Championship player of October, Diogo Jota is back to being mentioned by the Spanish press.

As the player still belongs to Atletico Madrid, some local papers reported the news, mentioning the great season he’s been having on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, with seven goals and three assists so far.

But there’s something curious about the different reports, which is the price Wolves would have to pay to keep the 20-year-old permanently.

While AS claims he would cost around €8m, Mundo Deportivo says the price is actually €22m. That’s a huge difference, and someone is terribly wrong.

We’ve checked all the stories we covered from the time Jota was about to join Wolves, and none of the reports seemed to know how much the Championship side would have to pay for a permanent transfer.

Website Transfermarkt is another one with a different info, saying the amount would be €12m. So it seems there could be some surprises if Wolves finally decide to go for Jota.

Is €22m too much for him? Because €8m certainly sounds too little.
