André-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s fine displays for Napoli in their title winning season has not gone unnoticed and has caught Manchester United’s attention.

That’s according to Napoli Calcio Live, who state the Red Devils are ‘serious’ about the 27-year-old.

Manchester United have knocked on the Serie A winners’ door for the midfielder and it has made the latter anxious.

Erik ten Hag’s side want to bolster the midfield in the next window. Anguissa has emerged as a target and he’s been ‘constantly monitored’ by the Premier League club.

He was vital in their league success this season, which is why Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis needs an ‘indispensable’ offer to sanction his sale. Due to Manchester United’s financial resources, they can table an important offer to convince the Naples club’s chief.

In addition to this, the Old Trafford club are ‘ready to offer an important salary’ to the Cameroon international, who currently earns €3m per year at Napoli.

Manchester United are fourth in the table, a point ahead of fifth placed Liverpool, with one game in hand. The Champions League qualification could prove decisive for the player to make the final decision to join the Red Devils.

Napoli are expected to receive offers from the Premier League for Anguissa and this is why they are starting to worry.
