On Tuesday, journalist Ciro Venerato stated Napoli star Kim Min-jae is a concrete option for Manchester United in the summer.

The centre-back arrived at the Naples club last summer and has been instrumental in helping them win the title this season. His form has seen the Red Devils take notice.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United are ‘pressing’ to sign the 26-year-old next month.

The Premier League side have been keen on the South Korea international for a while and first made contact for him during the World Cup. They now ‘want to take’ him away from Napoli in the next 30 days or so.

Min-jae has a release clause between €50m and €60m for clubs outside Italy and this is valid for the first 15 days of June. Manchester United ‘want to activate the clause’ so that they can have the defender at Old Trafford next season.

Erik ten Hag’s side are ‘ready to force’ things to take the player ‘immediately’.

Min-jae has managed two goals and two assists from 33 league appearances this season.
