Manchester United are preparing to make their move for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, with Napoli already eyeing up a replacement.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say United are ‘ready to take him’ to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

They explain that Napoli are pressing forward with their plans for the summer and are lining up a move for Daichi Kamada, who is available on a free transfer, after the success that they’ve enjoyed with Kim this season.

That’s something they want to repeat with his fellow countryman and work is underway to bring him to Italy when his contract expires.

However, it may be unlikely he will be united with Kim in Naples. Manchester United are at the door for the centre-back and ‘ready to take him’ when the window opens.

That’s something which has been growing over the past few weeks, with it claimed they are ready to sign him on two separate occasions, three including this one and that he should end up at Manchester United this summer.

Tutto Napoli also back this up, stating that Manchester United have been scouting the player for a few months and Napoli are expecting him to go. So much so they’re eyeing up replacements in Doekhi from Union Berlin, Danso from Lens and Scalvini at Atalanta.

The latter is one who has received a ‘very high rating’, something Corriere corroborate, with them going one step further and saying Napoli have ‘opted’ to sign him this summer.

He’d be a replacement for Kim, who, at least as far as they’re concerned in Italy, could be on his way to join Erik ten Hag’s squad at some point in the near future.
