Manchester United have raised their offer for the signing of Ajax star Antony, the Brazilian media says.

Outlet Goal Brasil writes that the Red Devil improved on their last bid of €60m to land the winger. However, the Eredivisie giants continue to play hard in the talks.

It’s said Manchester United were still unable to reach the €80m demanded by Ajax, and therefore, the talks should continue stalled ‘until the final days of the summer window’.

Goal Brasil writes that Antony’s departure is not in the plans of the Dutch side, despite the insistence from Red Devils’ new boss Erik ten Hag on taking him to Old Trafford.

The outlet points out that with the sales of Lisandro Martinez, Sebastian Haller, Ryan Gravenberch, Nicolas Tagliafico and Dominik Kotaski, Ajax think they’ve sold enough in the current transfer window, and will continue being tough in the negotiations.

This isn’t the first time it’s reported that the Eredivisie club have high demands for Antony’s sale, and as it looks unlikely they’ll change their stance, it seems only a Manchester United bid worth €80m could change the scenario.
