Manchester United’s year-long chase for Jadon Sancho came to fruition in the summer, when they were successful in securing his services from Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old has struggled to replicate his BVB form in the Premier League in the first few months of this season.

Largely operating on the left wing, he has been restricted to 13 appearances, most of which have come from the bench. The England international is yet to score or register an assist for Manchester United.

In the last six league games, Sancho ended up as unused substitute on three occasions. His limited starts have seen a section of Borussia Dortmund supporters take to social media sites to urge the Bundesliga side to re-sign the player.

Bild say BVB are looking to sign a winger in January and the attacker’s name has been discussed ‘more and more’ among BVB fans.

However, they make it clear that neither Sancho nor United are currently ready to open the door for any form of transfer, either loan or permanent, in the winter market. Bild say, according to their own information, that both Sancho and his club would be against such a move.

It is surprising that Bild had to dismiss the possibility of Sancho leaving United in January, when there was hardly any chance for the wideman to change clubs in the next window anyway.
