On April 12th, claims from Italy stated that Manchester United’s approach for Juventus’ Gleison Bremer seemed to be serious.
Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport features a story on Juve’s defensive targets for the summer window and that’s when they highlight Manchester United’s interest in the 27-year-old.
The Serie A side’s defenders have caught the attention of several European clubs and the Brazilian has ended up on Manchester United’s radar.
Gazzetta are of the belief the Premier League side led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS plan to make several changes at Old Trafford in the summer, and the South American is a target for their defence.
It’s claimed Bremer ‘entices’ the Red Devils, mainly due to his performances and the €60m release clause that’ll come into effect from 2025. This is the figure the Old Lady are requesting to part ways with him in the summer.
The price doesn’t scare Manchester United, who have been pushing to sign Bremer in the next window. The newspaper further adds Erik ten Hag’s side have been speaking to his entourage for some time.
In short, the Red Devils are willing to pay €60m and that bid would be accepted. Therefore, Juventus have identified a few candidates to replace the former Torino man.
Bremer hasn’t missed a single game through injury this season.
