Memphis Depay signed for Manchester United at the start of last season, and a lot was expected from the Dutch star. The 22-year-old has failed to live up to those expectations and has managed just two league goals so far.

The arrival of Jose Mourinho at the club hasn’t changed Depay’s fortunes, and he has played just six minutes of league football so far this season.

According to Italian website Calciomercatoweb, Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in signing the 22-year-old attacker during the winter transfer window. AC Milan reportedly want to sign Depay on loan with the option of making it permanent for €28m next summer.

AC Milan’s new Chinese owners are expected to spend big in future transfer windows, and could make a significant investment on Depay.

Calciomercatoweb say Depay is a ‘technical dream’ for AC Milan, but it remains to be seen if they’d be willing to pay big money for a player who has failed to make any impact in the last few months at Manchester United.
