Manchester United ‘insist’ on signing – have decided to ‘step up efforts’ on transfer

Creative Manchester United fans, your efforts are being noticed by the Portuguese media.

Friday’s edition of Record displays some of the mock-ups made by fans of the Sporting player in a United kit, the message to a Portuguese audience is that he’s a much wanted man among followers of the English club.

It’s not just fans who are keen on Bruno, Record says, with it being claimed Manchester United ‘insist’ on making the signing.

Despite it being stated Tottenham are the ‘closest’, it’s repeated that efforts from Old Trafford continue, and the Spurs interest has only served to increase the urgency.

So maybe it can advance from snail pace now.

And here’s the interesting part, Record are now saying it’s the English media saying United are on the verge of presenting an acceptable offer… when in fact it’s all being pushed much more strongly from Portugal.

That may be because Record don’t want to mention their Portuguese media competitors so would rather take the claims second hand… it can be that petty.

Liverpool get a mention, and Atletico Madrid want to be kept informed of any offers, Tottenham have stalled due to Christian Eriksen not being close to a move, and, right now, this story doesn’t feel like it’s really moving.
