Manchester United are set to make their first official move for the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana, according to claims from Italy on Friday afternoon.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports the talks between clubs are ‘progressing quickly’, and the first bid from the Red Devils is expected tonight.

The report doesn’t reveal how much Manchester United will put on the table, but actually talks about the amount expected by Inter Milan.

It’s said the Nerazzurri hope the offer will be ‘in line’ with the recent requests made by them. That would be a bid worth €50m plus bonuses.

In case that’s how much Manchester United offer, then it shall be accepted by the Serie A giants.

The expectation for the Red Devils’ bid had already been reported by the Italian media this week, and it seems they were preparing this official attack for days now.

The Old Trafford side find themselves in an ankward situation with David De Gea, who’s unsure about his long-term commitment with the club, and the chase for Onana could be decisive for the Spaniard’s future.
