Record have a Joao Felix article in their Saturday edition, and whilst it mainly focuses on Manchester City coming into the battle for the Benfica player, their neighbours Manchester United also get a significant mention.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are said to be keen, and it’s stated United have ‘already begun negotiations’ for the signing, just like the Turin club.

Jorge Mendes is the man brokering a transfer for the summer, and Benfica are being firm in their valuation.

Joao Felix has a €120m release clause and the Lisbon club’s president, Luís Filipe Vieira, is described as being determined not to come down from that figure.

That could simply be a negotiating tactic, but with interest growing, Benfica will believe their chances of a €100m+ plus fee are growing.

Manchester United have been more heavily linked with Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes than the 19 year old at Benfica, and now it appears the Joao Felix story is rising.
