It seems Manchester City are one of the many clubs who continue to follow Fiorentina wonderkid Federico Chiesa.

As reported by Calcio Mercato, the player may have recently renewed his contract with the Serie A side, but it doesn’t mean that the interested clubs will give up on monitoring him.

The 20-year-old winger already has a secure place in Fiorentina’s starting team, contributing four goals and three assists this season so far. Calcio Mercato claims that Inter Milan are keen on signing him in the future, with Paris Saint Germain’s interest also being reported in the foreign media.

But Pep Guardiola’s attention is the one highlighted. Manchester City have reportedly scouted Chiesa ‘more than once’, and would be serious contenders for the player.

Manchester City’s initial action didn’t go further than keeping an eye on him, but they ‘stay attentive’ to the player’s evolution, while they claim it’s ‘impossible’ for Chiesa ‘to go out of a big’s radar’.

Fiorentina have no intention of selling him for now, although we all know that money will have the final say in the future.
