Manchester City’s chase for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni gets an interesting update from FC Inter News today.

The outlet features a story which is mostly about the talks for a new contract, saying both parties want to find an agreement and not let him leave for free in 2024.

The problem is that a deal was not reached yet, and in case that isn’t sorted out before the summer, then he’s set to be sold to a foreign club. That’s where Manchester City are brought in.

FC Inter News writes that Pep Guardiola’s side is ‘not to be overlooked’, because they’ve been following Bastoni for two years and he has the ‘exact technical qualities’ that the Spanish manager looks for in modern defenders.

Manchester City wouldn’t even to worry about the competition from Juventus, because even though the Old Lady made initial contact, Inter Milan wouldn’t let their young jewel join any Serie A rivals.

This situation is set to become clear in the summer, when it’ll be known whether the 23-year-old is renewing his contract or forcing Inter Milan to sell him and avoid losing him for free.
