Everton target Beto is happy about being surrounded by so many transfer rumours in the past few months.

The Udinese striker spoke on Wednesday to TV12, and was asked about the stories regarding interest from other clubs.

It’s CalcioMercato.it who bring those quotes, pointing out that Everton were ‘above all’ in the January transfer window, despite naming AC Milan as a contender for the summer.

“These rumors are pleasing and they represent a sign of the good work I’m doing,” Beto told TV12.

“However, my focus is only on Udinese where I’m doing well and on the ten games that await us between now and the end of the season.”

Calcio Mercato adds that after spending €7m to sign Beto last summer, Udinese would now like to make at least three times that with a sale this year.

That isn’t even a surprise, because this week, outlet Il Gazzettino had already claimed that the Serie A side actually wanted €35m for the transfer.

Everton have now been linked to Beto for a long time, but with the likes of Milan and Napoli joining the race for him, it’s obvious that that price will only grow, with Udinese knowing the potential big sale they have on their hands. So the Toffees need to be prepared to beat the Italian competition.
