Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has told the Italian press the club needs to deal with the the future of Keita Baldé Diao.
The 22 year old has been linked with a move to West Ham in this window, and Lazio president Claudio Lotito has confirmed the Hammers are keen to sign the attacker.
TMW have reported on comments Inzaghi made in his press conference today when quizzed about the situation with Keita: “Today, he will play, it is a mater that needs to be resolved as soon as possible for the good of all. We have to figure out how we solve this, he is very valuable to us.”
It’s been well documented West Ham are keen to sign Keita this summer, but it will be difficult convincing the youngster to leave Italy. Lotito has revealed West Ham have tabled an offer for the former Barcelona youth player, and it’s a bid which would be accepted by the Serie A side.
However, with Keita’s unwillingness to head to the Premier League this is an issue for the London club, but as it stands there isn’t much concrete interest from Italian clubs for the player.
Keita has just 12 months left on his contract with Lazio, and the club are under pressure to get him to extend or sell him before the window closes.
