Following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea have been looking around for a replacement, with Brighton & Hove Albion’s Graham Potter the early favourite.

Todd Boehly clearly felt he needed to move on from the German manager, despite the past success he brought to the Stamford Bridge team, and the 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb was the perfect excuse to pull the trigger.

Besides the Brighton manager, two other names have appeared on the American’s wishlist, with those being Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane.

They are two very different managers, with one full of Premier League experience, while the other can boast multiple Champions League titles won during his time at Real Madrid.

Despite claims that Brighton have allowed Chelsea to talk to Potter about potentially becoming the new Blues manager, it appears those in charge at Stamford Bridge have started chatting with one of the other two.

That’s according to El Larguero, who claim Pochettino is currently ‘in London negotiating’ with the Premier League side.

While the Brighton manager might still be the favourite, it’s clear Chelsea are trying to cover all their bases, seemingly in a bid to make the transition from Tuchel to the new man in the job as quick and seamless as possible.
