Whether Manchester United need another winger in the summer remains to be seen, considering they will more likely need a striker, but they are looking at one.

That man is Moussa Diaby, currently at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, whose performances this year have caught the eye of many teams around Europe.

Newcastle were said to be interested in January, but such a transfer was always going to have to wait until the summer, and they will face competition from both Manchester United and Arsenal.

This comes from Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger, who took to Twitter to announce that the Red Devils, Gunners and Magpies ‘are interested’ in the France international.

The winger has ‘no release clause’, and the price tag is said to be €60m.

That is considerably lower than what has been touted in France, with some reports claiming the German club could ask for as much as €100m for their star.

That’s because he has 16 goals and nine assists this season, which makes him one of their top performers, which is exactly why Manchester United will be interested in the first place.

With a contract keeping him at Bayer until 2025, there is no rush to sell, but if the right offer comes along, then they will always sell, as they showed when Chelsea came knocking for Kai Havertz.
