Manchester City did not stop their job in Argentina following the signing of Julian Alvarez from River Plate. In the past few weeks, Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked to a few other local talents, and another one can be added to the list today.

According to TNT Sports, the Premier League side are coming for San Lorenzo youngster Nicolas Fernandez Marcau.

It’s said that Manchester City officials have been following him for a while and are now set to scout him in San Lorenzo’s Thursday night match against Gimnasia.

Mercau is a 22-year-old left-back who just recently found a starting place at his club, and has been impressing since then.

Since the signing of Alvarez, Man City were linked to Velez Sarsfield’s Maximo Perrone, and earlier this week, newspaper Olé also highlighted their chase for Boca Juniors youngsters Exequiel Zebalos and Valentin Barco.

That’s certainly a strong move from the English side, even though it’s still not known if these potential signings would be going straight to Manchester or be sent to other partners from the City Group.
