Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United had officials in attendance at the Stade de la Meinau to follow RC Strasbourg’s league clash against Lyon on Friday.

That’s according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who took to Twitter to state the two Manchester clubs, along with Spurs and the Whites, were joined by several other European sides to follow the Ligue 1 tie.

Aouna doesn’t mention the players the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Leeds could have watched. He only states the four Premier League sides had their scouts in the attendance.

There haven’t been any concrete reports in recent times linking any players from either club to the four English teams. It’ll be interesting to know which players these clubs were keeping an eye on during their latest trip to France.

Lyon came from behind to seal a 2-1 win, with Castello Lukeba and Maxence Caqueret getting their names on the scoresheet. The visitors finished the tie with 10 men after Lukeba was sent off in added time.
